1. App store age rating (18+)
Apple App Store and Google Play assign age ratings to apps based on the content they contain. Gastrona is currently classified 18+ on the App Store primarily because wine and other alcoholic beverages appear frequently in pairing recommendations, descriptions, educational material, and imagery. This is a platform content classification. It does not by itself determine who is eligible to create a Gastrona account or receive promotional communications from us.
2. Gastrona account eligibility (25+)
- Registration and use of account-based features require that you are 25 years of age or older.
- During registration, you must actively confirm that you meet this age requirement.
- Gastrona is not intended for minors. It is also not intended to be used in any jurisdiction where the service or relevant alcohol-related content is prohibited or restricted by applicable law.
- If you do not meet the eligibility requirements for an account, you must not register for or use account-based features.
3. What the app contains
Gastrona is a wine and food pairing app. Users regularly encounter:
- Wine names, descriptions, and pairing recommendations
- Educational information about wine, food, and gastronomy
- Images related to wine and meals
- AI-assisted pairing suggestions
4. What Gastrona is not
- Gastrona does not sell alcohol or facilitate alcohol purchases.
- Gastrona does not encourage underage drinking or excessive alcohol consumption.
- Gastrona does not include public user-generated content, direct messaging between users, gambling, loot boxes, or unrestricted web browsing within the app.
- Gastrona does not provide medical or health treatment advice.
5. Content summary
Based on current app store age-rating classifications, Gastrona contains:
- Frequent references to wine and other alcoholic beverages
- No profanity, horror themes, sexual content, or violence
- No gambling, simulated gambling, contests with rankings, or loot boxes
- No medical or wellness treatment information
6. In-app content and promotional communications
- In-app pairing recommendations and educational content are provided as core product features to eligible account holders.
- Promotional communications relating to wine or other alcoholic beverages — for example, certain push notifications or emails — are handled separately from core in-app functionality. Where such communications are used, they are sent only where permitted by applicable law, only to users who meet our age requirements, and only where any required consent or user choice has been obtained or made available.

7. Responsible communication
We aim to present wine-related information in a factual, educational, and moderate tone focused on food pairing. Our service and communications are intended to be designed and operated in line with applicable law, including relevant alcohol-marketing rules. We do not intend to use youth-oriented language or framing that encourages or glamorizes drinking.
8. Regional availability
Gastrona may not be available in all countries or regions. Local laws and platform policies can restrict apps with alcohol-related content. We may use app store country-availability controls and other access measures where appropriate. The Service, or certain features or content within it, may be unavailable or limited depending on your region and applicable law.
